Pulsing is a style of massage - through soft rotary movements and rhythmic rocking of all parts of the body it gently releases tensions, feelings and energy, expanding the tissues, nourishing the person, creating spaciousness inside... It is deep Reichian bodywork without being painful, powerfully yet softly affecting the whole body-mind-spirit. Pulsing is playing with the rhythms of the body and allowing us to reconnect to them: the rhythm of the breath, the heartbeat, peristalsis and movements of the spinal fluid - the in and out of the energy flow in all its many manifestations. It reverberates through all the body rhythms, harmonising them. Gently, we can let go of pain and tension, can expand and open, and reconnect to our inner sources of nourishment and joy. A Pulsing Intensive allows time for understanding and experiencing the basis of this kind of bodywork, and for getting to know the technique so that it becomes intuitive and can be developed by feel. I will particularly encourage awareness of bodylanguage and energy pulses; look at expansion and contraction, at how we pulsate in relation to time, space and energy fields; at how we hold ourselves in patterns which restrict us (physically, psychologically, spiritually). And we will focus on how we can release those patterns, playing with them, dancing with them, to encourage a free flow of energy by PULSING. (For the certificate in Pulsing you need to do a minimum of 8 days, including a front and a back intensive, and show evidence of sufficient understanding and expertise in using this bodywork approach.) Note that after the first of each intensive (the front, the back) you can join the next ones in the following 2 years at half the fee. |

| This 2-day professional development workshop is open to all bodyworkers and body-therapists. This workshop will refine the practitioner's ability to gain access to, perceive and make conscious bodily cues, signs, signals and symbols from the therapist's own body, which arise from the therapist's inner processes as well as from information from the client which gets transmitted body to body. This includes issues of somatic transference and somatic countertransference. And we will focus on developing the practitioner's ability to interpret and use effectively the information gleaned in the bodymind. The workshop will take place at The Open Centre, 9.30 for 10am till 6pm. The fee is £120. |

| his one year course is an introduction to modern Reichian bodywork, combining intensive personal experience with theoretical and practical training. It is this continuous combination and interrelation of experiential and theoretical and practical material that makes this course so valuable - knowledge is gained from inside and outside and thus integrated much deeper. The course is for both practitioners and non-practitioners alike. It can be a powerful supplementary training in deep bodywork for practitioners to enhance their current practice, and can equally be taken as an intensive one year course for personal development. The course will take place in London. Life is above all movement and change. Animals remind us of that marvellous ability of moving with ease and commitment - a bird on the wing cannot sit down to decide what to do next when the wind changes or another bird moves closer - it needs to be able to switch in flight, respond, move on. Physical tightness, restricting beliefs, controlling emotions strangle our sense of self and our connection to others. Deep bodywork is a process of exploring these physical, emotional and psychological "blocks" and transforming them into available energy. When more connected to ourselves and our inner rhythms and more responsive to the changing realities around us, we feel more alive, can make better decisions, and gain more control over our life. Course content: Working with body energetic processes: the energetic cycle, working with breath, charging and discharging energy, phases in the energetic cycle, counterpulsations in the body's energy flow, blocks in cycle. Energetic Integration: energy, movements and emotion; Gestalt techniques, enactment and bodywork; accepting and expressing roles. Segments of the Energetic Body: The formation and nature of armour in the body; segmentation in the body tissues and structures; trauma and healing. The development of Character: pre and peri-natal influences, stages in child development; character structure and character types; fragmented, oral, inflated, compressed, rigid patterns. The body as the basis of projection (of ideas onto others): working with projection, body transference and countertransference. Please contact Silke for more details. Upon successful completion of the course a Certificate in Deep Bodywork will be issued. This training can also be taken as the first year of a professional training in Deep Bodywork. Info on request and at www.entelia.com There will be Deep Bodywork weekends on 13/14 Oct 2007, 1/2 March 2008 and 12/13 July 2008 at the Open Centre. |
